Sophie Bistro

Dinner at Sophie Bistro (Comandante Juan Moore 176, Miraflores) was memorable. It is a restaurant located in what was once a typical corner store. The decoration is magnificent, both from the outside (sober and elegant, with illumination that highlights the original architecture) was well as the inside (exactly as if we were in Buenos Aires or in Paris). The cocktails were very good, both Illuminata's Cava as well as my Maracuya Sour, one of the best in the city. The Sophie salad was exquisite, as well as mi Duck Gizzards and the rolled Rabbit sides. Service was as good as it gets: cordial, friendly, and erudite.

We have two suggestions to improve it even more. First, and even though the long couch against the wall is very comfortable, the wooden chairs are not and should have some sort of a pillow or even better, they should be upholstered in the same way as the long couch. Second, the wine list is rich in Argentine wines, but lacks variety, particularly when it comes to European ones. Fortunately these are minor and workable details.

Without a doubt, the Sophie Bistro is a great addition to the gastronomic supply of Lima, a place where we could happily eat each and every night. Congratulations and the best of lucks!
