Segundo Muelle Conquistadores

Lunch at Segundo Muelle (Conquistadores 490 San Isidro) was another example of the terrible service in what many consider a "good" restaurant in Lima. The waiters moved around like decapitated turkeys. The aperitifs lacked constancy: my first Maracuya Sour was "Yellow No. 5" in color, while the second, instead, looked like rotten Melon. The Pisco Sours came different each time, and one of them was actually warm, which suggests that either the barman already had one too many, or that he was changing the formula at random.

Service was too slow. The dishes were good but nothing exceptional. The Choros a la Chalaca were pure onion. The Chicharron Mixto, like any other. Location is exceptional, and thus they should at least improve service and table settings, which are appalling. It is urgent that they train their waiters, with emphasis on personal hygiene. Why should we have to endure their body odors when trying to eat something nice? Segundo Muelle has potential but right now it is a mediocre place.
