We had dinner at Malabar on December 30th. This was our second visit ever and after many years, and this time was much better than the first one. The decoration was very good, but service, although attentive, was too casual, like in Rafael. The wine list was decent, and the food extremely good, a fusion of Peruvian, French, and Chinese with unique flavors and ingredients (e.g., Paiche). It is a recommendable experience.
The wine, Syrah Maycas del Limari 2006, was balanced and well structured. We need to follow Chilean Syrah, which are an excellent alternative to their fruit bombs based on Cabernet or Merlot.
People at the restaurant were scary, some of them speaking loudly on their cells, and a kid next table was playing with his forks and knives. Why don't they go eat at McDonald's so that they can let free their uncivilized manners?
