We went for lunch on Sunday to Restaurante La Eñe (Dos de Mayo 220 Miraflores). It is very well located in an old and large house of high ceilings that has been restored with good taste. The menu emphasizes spanish food and meats. We started with a Maracuya Sour really good, and afterwards we shared a Tortilla Española that was good; for main courses we had solomillo and bife de chorizo respectively. We accompanied these plates with a glass of Protos Crianza. In general, the menu is of good size and variety, and the wine list is very good. The wine list by the glass is very short (4 in total) but even so it is well chosen.
As unfortunately often happens, the experience was disappointing because of the service. They have adopted the absurd system in which all waiters serve everybody. Our first waiter was correct, but after we ordered, suddenly appeared an oligofrenic that after interrupting our conversation asked: you ordered some little meats, right?". Isn't it his job to know what we ordered? He then moved on to the table next to us and started to tell our neighbor that the Paella for 2 is not for 3 until he finally gave up when our neighbor explained that that was exactly what they wanted to do.
We think it is worthwhile to go back, but let's hope that they through that waiter in a cage as soon as possible.
