Panchita

On Sunday we went for lunch at Panchita (2 de Mayo 298 Miraflores) and were happily surprised. He have already tried to go twice before, but each time gave up because of the long lines and uninviting entrance. This time, we were told that the wait was going to be 45 minutes, and even then we decided to go in and eat at he bar.

We were immediately surprised by the quality of the service, attentive, correct, and knowledgeable. We ordered two cocktails based on Pisco (Pituca Feliz and Cholo Punch) and these were great: what a great idea to use pisco as the basis for new aperitifs. We order the food and to our surprise, our table was ready in just 20 minutes.

The dining is very well decorated ambiance, with high ceilings, comfortable tables, and, finally, very large cloth napkins properly starched. The food is typical criolla without any pretension or fusion, but brought to perfection. The papa a la Huancaina was fabulous, with good ingredients and without exaggerations. The anticuchos were also extraordinary. The plates are very abundant and so one needs to be careful with indigestion.

Congratulations to Gaston for this excellent combination of a commercial and a gastronomic project, where one can go accompanied by children given its relaxed atmosphere.
